Electric Contact Pressure Gauge

Electric contact gauges operate by combining mechanical pressure measurement with electrical switching capabilities, providing both precise readings and automated responses to changes in pressure. The process begins with pressure sensing, where the gauge measures the fluid pressure within the system using a Bourdon tube or another pressure-sensing element. As the pressure fluctuates, the Bourdon tube deforms, translating these pressure changes into mechanical movement. This movement is then transmitted to the gauge’s pointer, which indicates the current pressure on the dial.

The second phase involves the activation of electrical contacts. The mechanical movement of the pointer is connected to electrical contacts within the gauge. When the pointer reaches a predetermined pressure level, it either makes or breaks an electrical circuit. This change in the circuit can trigger various system responses, such as sounding alarms, activating pumps, shutting off valves, or initiating other automated actions. These responses are critical for maintaining system safety and efficiency, ensuring that the pressure remains within safe operating limits, and preventing potential damage or failures in industrial applications.
