Why is the flange of diaphragm pressure gauge corroded

Corrosion of diaphragm pressure gauge flange is obvious. And the severity of the corrosion is surprising. The material of the flange is SUS316 stainless steel, which should have very strong corrosion resistance, but how does the corrosive medium enter the "cavity"? The manufacturer saw a folding crack of about 35mm on the top of the diaphragm, and it was clear that the corroded medium was from this crack into the "cavity" of the flange and into the spring tube welding, and when it was long, the flange was corroded. The well is dipped to the edge to further corrode the weld of the diaphragm, resulting in the "opening weld" of the diaphragm. Relief compressed air will directly rush into the spring bend pipe, but also can accumulate condensate water;

Improvement measures:

1, as the user of diaphragm pressure gauge, should strengthen the management, the diaphragm pressure gauge should be properly kept, especially flange diaphragm pressure gauge, more so, diaphragm thickness meter 0.1mm or thinner, if improperly placed. If not, the diaphragm will be injured. The heavy will break the diaphragm, which will make the diaphragm pressure gauge lose the function of use.

2, diaphragm pressure gauge installation, before use, should check the appearance of diaphragm pressure gauge. Such as whether the pointer is zero, whether the diaphragm pressure gauge has sleeve leakage phenomenon, whether the diaphragm under the flange is damaged and so on. If abnormal conditions are found. Timely report to the relevant departments and contact with the production plant to solve.
